Wilmer Valderrama Teams Up with “Idol“ Producers

He struck a deal with FreMantle Media to develop a new series.
That '70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama and his WvEnterprises (WVE) have teamed up with the producers of American Idol, Fremantle Media North America (FMNA), to develop and launch a future series, said CEO of FMNA Cecile Frot-Coutaz.
"We're very pleased to be working with the talented tour de force better known as Wilmer Valderrama," said Frot-Coutaz. "He and Danny [Villa, producing partner] are very gifted producers with a keen sensibility for entertaining content that appeals to their generation. We look forward to creating great projects together."
Valderrama, who will serve as executive producer, will be setting up offices at FMNA headquarters in Burbank, California along with Villa.
"I'm thrilled to partner up with such a groundbreaking company as FremantleMedia, and to share ideas for new and original concepts that promise to be influential for not only youth but for all demographics around the world," said Valderrama.
Valderrama is best known for his character Fez on That '70s Show. In addition, he has recently starred in the movie Fast Food Nation, is the creator, producer and host for the MTV series, Yo Momma, and is the voice for Manny Garcia in Disney’s animated series, Handy Manny.
