Summer starts off to a great start with new comedy “Knocked Up“
Coming out this summer on June 1st, writer/director Judd Apatow (The 40 Year-Old Virgin) releases Knocked Up, the story of a one-night stand that just didn’t end. Katherine Heigl plays Alison Scott, a rising entertainment journalist who has her whole life planned out and running smoothly. During a night out to celebrate a promotion, she meets Ben Stone (Seth Rogen), an overgrown kid who has no plans of growing up any time soon. After a crazy night of shots, sex, and bad dance moves, they think that their interaction is over until eight weeks later when Alison finds out she is pregnant. A whirlwind of hilarity ensues as both try to come to grips with the reality of a baby on the way and all that a baby brings with it. Dealing with Ben’s pothead friends who just want to run a website of movie nudity scenes and Alison’s cynical sister and secretive brother-in-law proves to be an amusing challenge as the pair attempt to give dating a shot for the sake of their baby. Hormones run wild as the laughs keep on coming in this surprisingly hysterical movie. Knocked Up knocks out the competition for the spot as one of the summer’s hottest blockbusters. Rated R for sexual content, drug use, and language.
