Queen Elizabeth II at the Kentucky Derby

Queen Elizabeth goes to Kentucky Derby and meets with President Bush.

Queen Elizabeth II came out to Churchill Downs racetrack for the Kentucky Derby on Saturday with husband Prince Philip.

"Queen Elizabeth is certainly the most prestigious guest we've entertained in the modern-day history of the Kentucky Derby," said Track President Steve Sexton.

The royal couple spent the night at Land's End Farm near Lexington, hosted by former U.S. Ambassador in London, William Farish. The workers at the track brushed up on their British royal etiquette and served a meal consisting of native Kentucky ingredients. She got a tour of the Churchill Downs Derby museum before settling in for the 10th race.

The rest of her weekend will be spent with the Farish family, then she will head to Washington for a white-tie dinner at the White House with President George W. and Laura Bush.

On Monday, there will be a 21-gun salute on the White House lawn. On Tuesday, Laura and the Queen will visit the Children's National Medical Center in Washington.
