Sheryl Crow Has a New Partner to Soak Up The Sun With This Summer
On Friday, Sheryl Crow, who seems to have been aching to be a mother for a long time, announced that she had adopted a two-week-old baby boy. The 45-year-old singer has been through a nightmare over the past few years, first breaking up with her long-time boyfriend and fiance Lance Armstrong, and then being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The baby, whose birth site has not been revealed, is the first child for Crow. "His name is Wyatt (after my dad) Steven (after my little brother) and we are enjoying some very private family time."
Though Crow has no other children of her own, she does have experience playing a motherly role. While she was dating Armstrong, she became very close with his son and twin daughters from a previous marriage, saying that she took her role raising them "very seriously."
After successfully recovering from surgery, Crow said that she felt intimately how important family was. A year ago, Crow told Larry King that she could love an adopted child as easily as a biological one. Seems like young Wyatt Steven is lucky to have such a cool mom.
