Three Year Restraining Order Issued for Bullock Stalker
Sandra Bullock won a three-year restraining order Friday against a stalker who was arrested last month for trying to run over her husband at her California home.
Bullock testified that the woman, Marcia Garcia, left woven palm fronds on her front yard of "weird signs" and pieces of animal fur. She also would throw objects over her fence or on the neighbor's front yard.
On April 22, there was an altercation that ended with Garcia attempting to run over Bullock's husband, Jesse James. She won a temporary restraining order for this and Garcia was arrested and released on $25,000 bail for assault with a deadly weapon. Garcia is due to reappear in court on May 22.
The Santa Ana judge declared that this was "clear and convincing evidence" that Bullock and her family were, in fact, being stalked.
This is not Bullock's first incident with a stalker. In 2006 she won a three year restraining order against a man who stalked her across three U.S. states.
