Grandpa Trump

Donald Trump became a grandfather over the weekend.

Donald Trump Jr.'s wife gave birth to Kai Madison on Saturday afternoon in New York. She weighs 6 pounds and14 ounces. She was named after her maternal grandfather, a Danish musician and the couple just liked the name Madison, said the younger Trump.

"Everyone's great," Trump Jr., 29, told The New York Post Post. "Both her and her mother are doing fine, and we're looking forward to a big change in life."

The baby was born two weeks early, but was expected to return home with her parents yesterday.

Interestingly enough, Senior Trump and wife, Melanie had a baby boy named Barron last year.

"[He] may be the youngest uncle on the planet," Trump Sr. said.

Trump Jr. said his dad has been great with being a grandfather so far, while Trump Sr. responded with "terrific" when asked how it felt to have a grandchild.

"Well, it's not something I had necessarily in mind, but it feels very nice," he said.
