Buttafuoco and Fisher: The Reality Series
15-May-2007
Written by: Courtney Thompson
Joey Buttafuoco and Amy Fisher will go on a taped date in Central Park over a decade after she shot his then wife
It all started in 1992 when 17-year-old Amy Fisher’s and Joey Buttafuoco’s year-long affair ended when she shot his then wife, Mary Jo in the face. Fisher was given seven years in jail and 36-year-old Buttafuoco was charged with statutory rape and served four months.
Just last year they met again and the encounter ended with a heated argument, but Mary Jo forgave Fisher, who said she was sorry.
Now, just a week after both of their spouses filed for divorce, the two will meet again for the first time since court appearances for a romantic dinner overlooking Central Park. It will be taped and television producer David Krieff said he hopes to make it into a reality television show. Buttafuoco will reportedly show up with flowers and a gift, as he wants to ask for forgiveness and rekindle a romance.
"If Mary Jo and Amy can be friends, then why can't Joey and Amy be lovers?" Krieff asked.
Krieff said Buttafuoco said to him: "I still have feelings for her. I can't wait to have dinner with her. I can't wait to be with her. I can't wait to touch her."
