Stern Files Anna Nicole's Will
Anna Nicole Smith's lawyer-turned-companion Howard Stern has filed her will and probate petition on Monday. He waived the right for any compensation as executor of her will.
But his lawyer, Vivian Thoreen, made the request for special administrator to "immediately marshal and preserve the assets of the estate." Thoreen also noted that no one else has stepped up for the job, according to E! News.
Smith's 8-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope, Larry Birkhead, the baby's biological father, Stern and attorneys Ron Rale and Eric Lund are listed as having interest in Smith's estate.
Her California estate is valued at $1.8 million while her personal property is valued at $10,000. However, she still has a $1.1 million mortgage owed.
There is still a decade-long court battle with Smith's former husband, oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall III's family, as she felt she should inherit his estate, which totals $474 million. Dannielynn, as Smith's only heir, now stands to inherit it.
