Maxim Names Top 100 Beauties in World

Magazine names Lohan hottest of them all, snubs stars like Hilton and Spears.

Lindsay Lohan has had a bit of a rocky start this year, what with rehab, her dad, and now her latest movie, Georgia Rule, not exactly ruling at the box office. So when Maxim came out with their tally of the 100 Hottest Women, which named Lindsay as the reigning beauty, it could only have been a welcome honor. In response, Lohan could only say, "I couldn't be more flattered to be honored as the No. 1 girl in Maxim's Hot 100 List!"

Being a Hollywood wild child may have something to do with it, but the strategy doesn't seem to be working for fellow party gals Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, who were nowhere to be found on the list. That's right: on a 100-deep ranking of the hottest women in the world, these two didn't make the cut. And neither did stars such as Mary Kate Olsen and Jennifer Aniston. So who did make it? The top ten goes: Lohan, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Biel, Ali Larter, Eva Mendes, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, and Fergie. Longoria was last year's winner, by the way, and Alba, Jennifer Garner, Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson are all past list-toppers as well.

In explanation for why some seemingly obvious names were omitted, Maxim Editor-in-Chief Jimmy Jellinik said that the magazine was attempting to focus on the most successful women of the past year, who were both beautiful and had bright futures.
