Davis Dislikes Her "December"? Kelly Clarkson Downplays Reports
First Idol Kelly Clarkson has dismissed reports of a feud with music producer Clive Davis, saying the press has taken creative liberties in exaggerating its seriousness.
The Internet and various news agencies first caught whiff of trouble when Davis reportedly snubbed the music on Clarkson's newest album, My December, (coming out in July) - earlier reports claimed the album release was to be delayed as a result of artistic conflicts behind-the-scenes. But now Clarkson has stepped up to put a lid on idle speculation, and, in the process, actively promote her newest work as "no different from my other records," a collective effort geared toward "[having] people like my music...[and] come out to shows."
Clarkson previously wow-ed and charmed (and belted) her way to the top in 2002 as the original American Idol. She has since won two Grammys and continued to belt her way to commercial - and critical, she has two Grammys - success.
