Ghirardelli

Chocolate decadance is here.
Eating lots of chocolate...Ghirardelli chocolate...a dream come true! I
recently attended a cooking class featuring Ghirardelli premium chocolate baking products. Did you know that Ghirardelli makes four different types of chocolate chips and six different types of chocolate baking bars? They
don't kid around. I, of course, tasted pretty much all of them and they were
all very smooth and delicious. It turns out that Ghirardelli chocolate is
completely processed from start to finish at their own plant in San
Leandro, California. Besides tasting great, it was very easy to work with,
in that the bars break into even pieces and the chocolate melts
smoothly.
Baking with Ghirardelli chocolate is very easy too. First of all, a friend of
mine who is a chef always tells me that you can never go wrong with quality
ingredients and simple recipes. Ghirardelli has simple recipes printed
right on their packaging. What makes these recipes even better is that the
finished product doesn't look simple. It looks like you are a master
baker! Those are the kind of recipes I look for- simple to make but
impressive looking. I made two of these recipes, dark chocolate truffles
and chocolate caramel brownies, at the Ghirardelli cooking class. These
recipes, plus many more, can also be found at their website. The truffles
couldn't be any easier to make- only four ingredients! The chocolate
caramel brownies were also pretty easy to make and were the best brownies I
have ever had! They had a middle layer of caramel and they were very soft
and moist.
I can't wait to explore more of Ghirardelli's recipes- got to go- the white
chocolate crème brulee is calling my name!
