The Sim's with a bit of a challenge.

I'd heard of the Sims and that's all I knew about the game before I put the disk in my X-Box console. It's a great game, very addictive and very life like. I made a lot of mistakes, corrected them and finally gave up.

My first mistake started with the Create-a-Sim. I forgot the fantasy aspect and stayed within my own comfort zones. My next 20 mistakes lay in the fact that I'm an adult and actually play video games to relax. You have to tell it to eat, pee, bathe, work (after you find it a job), clean, have friends (without e-mail), and PAY THE BILLS. This, they call a game.

In my first attempt, I managed to move out of my mom's house, find a job ($225 a day), redecorate the house, buy a computer and learn how to flip the bird. I also wet myself a total of four times. I got tired of spending hours each day cleaning, so I hired a maid. I have collection agencies calling because I can't remember to pick up the mail and I have set the kitchen on fire three separate times. I go clubbing once a week and try to remember to call home, but when seconds turn into minutes, it's hard. It takes 20 minutes to use the toilet and 90 minutes to bathe and/or eat. Plus, this "Sim" needs 10 hours of sleep each day. So, by eating twice, bathing, sleeping and four hours of work, my days are pretty shot. The only fun part was starting a romantic attraction with my roommate. Whatever your preference, you can find true love within this game!

Not satisfied, I started a new "Sim" a more adventurous one. I started with a different job, moved into a different home and got promoted faster. I've learned that showering and microwaving consumes less time, as does a more comfortable bed. Once you learn this much you get two Sims to deal with. Yippee two jobs, feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise - gee whiz, I'm tired. This, I couldn't handle because my Sims were constantly depressed.

Basically, by the time I stop playing, I'm too stressed-out to do much more than watch TV. I wouldn't recommend this game to people living on their own or to parents trying to get their kids out of the house. I think, however, that "Sims" is perfect for the pre-teens that think that they can do it all better than their parents.
