Microsoft Money 2004 Deluxe

An easy way to organize your finances.
Due to my limited computer knowledge, I was cautious about installing and using this money management program. I use the computer only for work and, then, I only use programs that are tried, true and approved by someone else. In this case, I would be taking a risk, fully on my own. The short answer is: it works, just like they said.
Although the installation booklet is filled with advertising, after a few minutes, you will find the instruction page and be pleasantly surprised that installation and information input is quite easy. I just put in my accounts and rough balances to start off. Within a month or so (depending upon billing cycle) corrections are made to more accurate numbers. The program comes with many "extras" for example: tax preparation, automatic bill payment and even a newsletter. While there are many other offers for free or subscription services, I chose to do nothing except one: track income and expenses. This program does it clean and simple. In fact, inputing finances is comfortable since I can stop, at anytime, save the work and come back to where I left off. There is even a calm-sounding voice that gives a further explanation as to each entry is needed. I have gone back over the past month and fine-tuned the expense categories.
In time, as I get more comfortable with the program, there are on-line services, newsletters, and automatic updates to bank balances that are available. It will even keep up-to-date on stock quotes.
This program is easy to install and easy to use. Microsoft promised and Microsoft delivered.
