Instead of plastic, why not use Silicone?
Silicone Zone makes silicon products that are able to withstand high heat and, still, have nothing stick to them. The first of these that we checked out is the muffin pan.
The silicon muffin pan is absolutely non-stick and, therefore, very easy to clean. It's also flexible, which is helpful for getting muffins out of the pan in a jiffy. It even can be folded up to fit in your junk drawer. You can use it in the microwave and the freezer, but I've not thought of many microwave muffin recipes. As for using it in the freezer, it's extremely convenient for making delicious individual ice cream desserts.
The next silicon product we reviewed is the garlic peeler, which is cute and works well. You simply insert a garlic clove into the peeler and roll it around. It's easy to clean, but if you want to peel more than a few garlic cloves at one time, the peelings become stuck so the peeler must be cleaned before continuing.
The next silicon product we reviewed is the spatula, which is especially good for non-stick cookware, because it will never scratch. The food never sticks to the spatula so prepare eggs with it and don't worry about scraping this spatual afterward.
The best silicon product we reviewed is the oven mitt because it withstands high heat even better than the traditional oven mitt. With a traditional oven mitt you can't grab anything wet, but with this mitt you can stick your mitted hand into a pot of boiling water and grab a lobster. It eventually does get hot - the mitt itself can withstand high heat, but it will only protect you for short periods at a time.
Overall, these silicon products are interesting and can be useful in any kitchen.
