Cute gadgets to make your cooking a little easier.

Lamson & Good now have a line of Timbergrass bamboo cutting boards that are not only beautiful, but durable as well. Bamboo is a great material for cutting boards because it is harder than maple and naturally resists cuts and scratches.

There are many bamboo boards out there, but Timbergrass boards are constructed with food safe glue. That is why a Timbergrass board is a little more expensive.

The board I have is the parquet board, and it is absolutely beautifully designed. I will probably use it as a serving piece- it's too pretty to keep it in the kitchen as a cutting board!

Cuisipro has a great Accutec dual grater. Accutec is a technology that photo-etches the blades, as opposed to stamping, which makes this grater one of the sharpest around. It also maintains its sharpness.

It has a fine surface for zest and nutmeg and a coarser surface for hard cheeses and vegetables. Because it's so sharp, the food doesn't get squished when you are grating it, but retains its flavor.

It is made of 18/10 stainless steel with handles on both ends for easy use. The grater is dishwasher safe.

It is long and thin so it is easy to store in a drawer or just as easy to hang because it has hanging eyes on both ends.

Kaiser, Europe's largest home bakeware manufacturer, has designed some of the best springform pans out there. I recently received their 9" square nonstick pan to try and was very impressed by it.

It has a two-layer, nonstick coating on the exterior and interior for real easy cleanup. I made lasagna in it and needed no elbow grease to clean it!

There's a magnum coating on the base to prevent scratches when cutting. It's a great pan for a beginner because its steel construction retains heat very well and allows for oven temperature variation. I will definitely look into other Kaiser products.
