IQAir HealthPro Compact
Written by: Michael Mardings
It's a bit smaller, but still does the job.
How can I write a review without being redundant? The last review I wrote about IQAir was so sparkling it essentially started a religion with people ready to worship the boxes. People emailed me from around the country screaming its praises. Some advertisers begged the ad sales team to get ads on that one page, and the review was reprinted in materials everywhere. That's a lot of pressure to live up to.
The HealthPro Compact is essentially the same unit but without the gas filter and therefore a little smaller. That's really it. I could go into an entire review describing how wonderful this unit was and comparing the loss of the gas filter and the gain of a smaller size and price.
That would be rather boring, so I'll therefore transcribe the conversations involved in receiving the boxes.
UPS Guy knocked on door:
"This is a pretty big box. That's some serious stuff." He said with a huff.
"Yes, I'm clearly a rather important person."
The size of the box is always impressive.
My dear mother came over:
"Michael, the house doesn't smell. Is a candle lit?"
"No, it's the air cleaner under the desk."
"Oh good, can you bring it over to my house? The cat made a mess."
It was light enough to do so, but I didn't want to clog the filters with the furball's odors.
My fiancé Maria visited:
"What is it making that noise?" she asked confrontationally.
"Oh, it's the air cleaner under the desk," I said calmly.
"Is it working?" she said, again a bit confrontationally.
"Does the office smell?" I asked.
"No," she diminutively replied.
"Then it's working. Are you sneezing?" I replied confrontationally in my own right.
Yes, as I mentioned before, the IQAir is the best damn air cleaner that I've ever seen. The newer version is a bit smaller and can fit under my desk. It cleans the air to the point that my mother thinks it smells "clean", but it is big enough to upset the UPS guy. Is it just as strong as the regular IQAir? Yeah, considering that it's really only the gas unit that's missing, it's not missing that much. I mean, sure I have some friends that produce noxious fumes, but beyond that I don't have that much of a need for gas being cleaned.
That said, yes, it's still under my desk and yes, it's cleaning the air. After about 30 minutes I see a massive difference. Almost as if you've done a spring cleaning, but of course without all of the effort. As always I highly recommend the IQAir air cleaning systems and if you haven't tried them before, then here's a more affordable version to consider.
The IQAir can be purchased at Sylvane, 800-934-9194.
