Front Porch

Front Porch Classics makes beautifully crafted board and coffee table games. The Old Century baseball game is a pinball style game that any baseball fan would love. This game has won many awards, including a Parent's Choice Award and a Toy of the Year Award by Familyfun Magazine. It is a great old-fashioned game - no batteries needed! Scorecards are included so each everybody can keep their scores and there are moveable knobs to keep track of the overall score. It is easy to play. I'm not much of a baseball fan and I had a great time playing. The game is not only fun to play but it is a great conversation piece. It is crafted from aged woods and reminds me of traditional ballparks.

One of their new games is Stretch Run. It has already won some awards of its own from iparenting and Creative Child Magazine. It is another beautifully crafted game; the wooden case unfolds to become the racetrack. It is a horseracing game of both luck and strategy - just like betting on real horses. You move your jockey by throwing the die or playing a card. The racetrack includes some conditions that can quickly change who is in the lead. For real horseracing fans, the game includes advanced rules that allow for racing styles, handicapping and wagering. This was an exciting game to play and I would recommend it for anyone - not just horseracing fans.
