Oster Counterforms Digital Convection 6-Slice Toaster Oven
The 6–Slice label tells how big it is- it also fits an 11” pizza. One of the most attractive features is the Luminart finish. The dark silver color and trendy design match it up to the stainless steel appliances already in the kitchen. This is not just made for toasting- it convection bakes and dehydrates also. It’s tiny but powerful, just like me. The Counterforms collection also includes a coffeemaker and a toaster. All three would seem to make such a difference on the counter that maybe life partners can get along without the new cabinets.
Philips Aurelle LED Candle Series
The LED finally grew up and out of the domain of the computer. It now comes to us in the form of a creative fashion candle. Set within a frosted glass, the flickering LED sets a very safe romantic mood. Oh my friend, how many times have I been called to the bathroom with my dearest sitting in a foam filled tub, lights low, romantic music and I was worried sick that the candles would start a fire.
Febreze NOTICEables
Now this is a new idea. Two different but complementary scents are emitted from the one air freshener. This one we set up in the office by the stinky desk. You know the one used by staff members after the morning jog but before they take a shower and the odor gets into the chair. They think better when jogging, I think better just watching. The morning walk/cleansing rain is a pleasant earthy smell and on the low setting doesn’t overwhelm the room. The Calypso Breeze/Hawaiian Paradise has a refreshing clean smell. Some day Febreze should just make deodorant.
Puzzle Floor by Briggs Engineered Wood Products
Now this completes me! I have loved puzzles since the late night feedings with nothing to do being wide awake. To actually have a floor that I can put together like a puzzle makes sense to me. In fact if you send them a layout of the room, or hall, or just the space the company will design a puzzle floor just for that spot. There is no nailing since the pieces attach to an underlay so the labor is minimal. It comes in a selection of finishes, stains and a natural wood.
Oster Long Slot Toaster
This is a beauty of a toaster. It is long and sleek with brushed stainless steel and black accents. The advantage to the Oster Long Slot Toaster is that a larger amount of food can be toasted without heating up the oven. This is particularly good for a quick snack. The long rolls and buns that you froze yesterday can be heated quickly with convenience. There is a special frozen power switch that defrosts then toasts to one of seven different toast shade settings. This toaster also has some other nice features like a removable crumb tray and a cancel button.
Sunbeam Tea Drop Hot Tea Maker
Tea drinkers arise! At last you have earned respect. How many dinners have you attended where the coffee drinkers get “topped off” or offered a second cup while you sat there sucking on the tea bag with the string caught in your teeth - not a pretty sight. Sunbeam has developed a tea maker that can steep 28 ounces of the precious liquid from either tea bags or loose tea. By the end of the brewing cycle you have tea, light or dark as you like, made just for you ready to serve in an attractive carafe. Let coffee drinkers chew on the beans.

Everyone loves to add that something special to their home décor to make it feel more like home. Kohl’s has a variety of housewares and decorative items that we found very original and attractive as well as reasonable priced. They carry a variety of decorative pillows made of fine fabrics like silk as well as a variety of unique picture frames. One of our favorites was a Sonoma Life 4x6 copper frame made in India. They have a beautiful Seaside Collection which is great for outdoor entertaining. Kohl’s also carries top designers like Laura Ashley and beautiful hand painted dishes. They also have specialty items which make great gifts like a Sakura 5 piece Sushi Set.
