Have your food last a bit longer... even if your husband hates leftovers.

Foodsaver’s newest model, the V2440, is the best yet. The new hands free feature is great. You can set it up and it does its thing. We love how well it keeps vegetables fresh. Now with the garden starting to sprout we can keep ripe veggies so much longer and not waste anything!

Another great feature are the sealed canisters. Anyone who’s bought it knows how hard it is to keep brown sugar soft. Worry no more! I had my sugar sealed in the canister over three months and no sign of solidifying! And it’s so easy to seal the canisters I can open it and use the sugar with ease.

Now, while we’re not big drinkers, we do love to cook with wine. But since it will sit for months without being used again I was buying cheap wine to cook with, which of course doesn’t add much flavor. With Foodsaver’s bottle stoppers I can buy one more expensive bottle that will last and last (and taste really good) instead of multiple bottles of cheap wine. And when we do want a glass of wine there’s no need to buy a bottle, it’s right there and you know it tastes fresh.

Anyone who knows how to make spaghetti sauce will love the wide-mouth jar sealer. You can make a big batch of sauce and seal regular canning jars to keep sauce (and other favorite wet and dry goods) fresh for at least six months. And the best part – no freezer burn!! And no hassle of canning. Just make a fresh batch every couple of months and you’ll have fresh sauce for dinner anytime. It’s a great gadget for busy parents to serve fresh food instead of fast food when they’re in a pinch.

But our favorite part is the quick marinator. It is perfect to quickly marinate food for two to four people in half of an hour at most!! No more under-flavored, over salted store bought marinades for us! What a happy grilling season we’re having!
