Gourmet products sold on a home taste-testing (party) basis.
Come in and taste before you buy and if you like it maybe you’d like to sell some to your friends. And if you sell to friends, the products have to be good.
The products range from do-it-yourself preparation foods to gourmet cheese balls and sauces. Most only require the addition of a few extra items to complete the mixture. Cinnamon Muffin Melts, Lotsa Lemon Bar Mix and Key Lime Cheese Ball Mix -- this is how romance starts. In fact, if they sold an after-shave cologne of the Key Lime, I would die happy. The naturally flavored Raspberry Lemonade Mix didn’t last long. The drink I made right away, then started on the muffins and lemon bars. The smell in the kitchen was so good I gained about a pound in my nose.
Tastefully Simple also offers a Bountiful Beer Bread Mix. Tell the boys to pipe down. While you can add beer, you could also add soda or carbonated juice. So driving home should not be a problem. In the baking, most, if not all of the alcohol will dissipate, then, only the taste is left. On a winter’s day there is nothing better than the smell of beer bread wafting through the house.
For meats, there is the Merlot Sauce. The ingredients clearly list “Merlot wine” but again, because the sauce is heat processed, the alcohol is dissipated but the taste is left. The only thing left to do is to try a Beer Bread hamburger with the Merlot Sauce.
For dessert, Nana’s Apple Cake mix, but be warned “do not read the box beyond the instructions.” The Cherry Cobbler, Caramel Sauces, and other ingredients for the additional desserts will actually cause stomach confusion as to what to actually bake. Remember: never confuse the stomach!
