Jennifer Aniston For Less?
Written by: Sari Kent
How would you like to dress like celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston but not burn up your paycheck in the process?
Well, http://www.silhouettes.com is showing Aniston in one of her designer outfits and claims you, the average consumer, can duplicate her look but not duplicate the price. But can the average person really look like a celebrity for just pennies on the dollar?
On the site, a picture of Aniston is shown and beside her are comparable items available for purchase on the site, such as a shirt and boots at prices so those who visit the site can supposedly recreate Aniston's look for less. But are they really?
In the photo, Aniston is shown wearing a lace shirt covered by a pinstripe jacket. She is also sporting leather boots and attractive handbag. Beside the picture are similar looking items such as a lace cuff shirt priced at a reasonable $34 and pleated leather boots priced at $99. In total, if you want to recreate Aniston's look for less using this site, the whole outfit would cost you $420. Is that really a "look for less?"
Duplicating Hollywood stars' designer duds at reasonable prices is what this site is advertising, but is it really doing so? Almost $500 is a little much to spend to duplicate one outfit. Yet some might say it's much less than what probably Aniston paid, but maybe it isn't. I guess that's between Aniston and her stylist, if you know what I mean.
