Las Vegas mother Carla Weiskopf had once become evidently frustrated with the abundance of clothing targeted towards young women and girls that featured sexual references. The mother of four children decided that she wanted to take a step in the opposite direction by creating her own business, entitled Jordann’s Positive Apparel, in honor of her 3-year-old daughter.
Weiskopf’s intention is to design clothing that is meant to intellectually stimulate young girls to focus on a more serious message than the cynical references that are contained frequently on youth apparel.
The messages placed on the shirts are meant to inspire young girls and improve their self-esteem, while making them consider how important their futures are.
Honorably, Weiskopf donates a percentage of the profits she makes from her merchandise sales to various nonprofit organizations.
