Reviewers Notes:
nice red
stimulates the palate
nice Long Island wine
all the same, nothing special
a bit astringent, dry aftertaste. some oaky taste
fruity, easy drinking
for a merlot, rather light than I'm accustomed to. Nevertheless, it's flavorful, and fruity but not too much.
Would go well with a steak.
Writer's Summary: A good red from right here in Long Island. This is a bold, mouth-filling red and can overpower some foods, so pair this wine with red meats like pan-roasted porterhouse steak.
