Juslyn
Vineyard Select
Cabernet Sauvignon
1999

Region: Napa valley
Alcohol Content: 14.10% Price: $75.00
Overall Rating: 6.95 Look/Presentation: 6.70

Reviewers Notes:
  • complex, first sip nothing special, but the wine grows on the palate. long "length" aftertaste of black currants.
  • most unique strong, thick and warm
  • tastes better than it smells
  • ashy and metallic, lamb would go great with this one
  • overwhelmingly putrid/ lots of acid that drips down your throat and blankets your mouth
  • disappointing, pungent smell, smoky/mushy aftertaste. Needs to age to it's full potential. however it does grow on you with time
  • well balanced, needs more time. still closed in
  • smooth, flavorful blackberry. good aftertaste
  • bitter weird aftertaste- high alcohol
  • not the most attractive label. ting ting, the wine is very dry.

Writer's Summary: Rich, meaty dishes should be served with this wine. Braised lamb shanks and butter-roasted game come to mind.
