Bryan Donovan is one of only two guys on Jackie Warner's new Bravo weight-loss show "Thintervention." He set the highest weight-loss goal of 60lbs. TheCelebrityCafe.com's April Chieffo caught up with Bryan to talk about his experience on the show.

TheCelebrityCafe.com: Tell us a bit about the show “Thintervention."

Bryan Donovan: It’s a docu-series to change your attitude towards health and fitness, it’s funny, inspiring, motivating, and since it’s Bravo there is drama.

TCC: What we can look forward to the rest of the season?

BD: More blood sweat and tears, intense workouts, challenges.

TCC: How did you get involved in this project?

BD: A friend Facebook messaged me, and the rest you could say fell into place.

TCC: You set a weight loss goal of 60 pounds. How much have you lost to date?

BD: Unfortunately, I can't tell you that. You're going to have to tune in.

TCC: Was there ever a time where you wanted to quit? What kept you going?

BD: I wanted to quit many times, but the cameras motivated me. I didn’t want to let people down.

TCC: How is this show different from other weight loss shows such as "The Biggest Loser"?

BD: It’s sometimes compared to "The Biggest Loser," but it doesn’t take place in a house. We go about our everyday lives: there was therapy, we had a doctor.

TCC: What kind of diet were you on?

BD: It changed weekly, probably 1200-1700 calories a day.

TCC: What was It like being only one of two guys on the show?

BD: It was interesting, I was grateful there was another guy to keep me in check…a leg up on the competition.

TCC: Jackie Warner seems pretty tough on TV. How is she as a motivator?

BD:She’s a good kisser. [laughs] She doesn’t play around. She is a great, fun person to be around when she's not training.

TCC: Are you confident you can continue living a healthy lifestyle?

BD: I am. Jackie really flipped a switch.

TCC: What advice would you give others looking to lose weight?

BD: Get off the couch and put the chips and the remote down. Be committed, serious, love yourself, and be patient. Keep your head in the game. You have to take baby steps.

TCC: What projects are you currently working on?

BD: I am currently rehearsing for my play "Everything Will Be Different". It's opening at the Zephyr in L.A. in about two weeks. I'm also working on a cookbook and a half-hour comedy show.
