Underworld 2

This is one of those movies that you think it should have been a series made into a movie, so you can expect the next installment to come out shortly. But I guess if fans warrant it enough like they did for this sequel then maybe it will happen. I love movies about Vampires and Werewolves and this one hit home.

It had a great plot and storyline, but it did have me a tad bit confused on one main story line. In the story the werewolves and vampires were made when two sons were bit by each a bat and wolf, thus the whole bloodline was born. But later in the film the son's father surfaces and it is found that he is the oldest of each, but when was he bitten and by what?

He reveals to Scott Speedman's character, who is half vampire and half werewolf, that he is his forefather. Well, father to which werewolf or vampire. But other than that minor detail Kate Beckingsale is wonderful and you get to see a little more of her vampiric qualities throughout the film and learn a little of her past, which is a plus. I love that the film does some flashbacking to show you what happened in the first movie, so that if you never saw it, you could still follow the sequel. I cannot wait till it comes to DVD so I can own it.
