Mission Impossible 3: Two-Disc Special Collector's Edition

The third installment of the highly profitable Mission Impossible series brings back Tom Cruise as secret agent "Ethan Hunt." Yet this time around, Hunt is presented with a host of new problems that threaten the ones he loves most.

The movie co-stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, who won an Academy Award for his performance in Capote. He stars as villain "Owen Davian," who is in search of something called the "Rabbit's Foot" and will do anything, including kill to possess it. What the audience learns is that Hunt's engaged to "Julia Meade," played by Michelle Monaghan. She knows nothing of Hunt's life as a secret agent for the IMF and Hunt would like to keep it that way. Yet, he is dragged into another mission. The objective: to save a kidnapped agent that Hunt trained, named "Lindsey Farris," played by Keri Russell, who has vital information that someone within IMF would kill to keep under wraps.

Back again in his third appearance in the series is friend and fellow agent "Luther Stickell," played by the incomparable Ving Rhames. The stoic Laurence Fishburne plays Hunt's boss, "Theodore Brassel." Other cast members include Billy Crudup, Maggie Q, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Simon Pegg and Eddie Marsan.

Mission Impossible 3 is packed with lots of explosions and edge of your seat action that will make viewers wonder just what is going to happen in the next scene. The Two-Disc Special Collector's Edition includes such pulse-pounding extras as commentary by Cruise and director J.J. Abrams, deleted scenes, as well as a featurette entitled "The Making of the Mission." The movie is also available in Widescreen Edition. Yet the Two-Disc Special Collector's Edition has extras the other version doesn't have like featurettes entitled, "Mission Action: Inside the Action Unit," "Inside the IMF," which lets the audience take a peek inside the inner workings of the secret agent elite task force, and much more.
