Rocky
"Rocky" is an Academy Award-winning tale about a Philadelphia debt-collector who gets a shot at the heavyweight championship of the world. Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) is lovable and humble, making him the perfect character for an underdog story.
Other significant characters in "Rocky" are his opponent, Apollo Creed, his trainer, Mickey Goldmill, his love interest, Adrian, and her brother, Paulie. Each of these characters are used to bring out Rocky’s thoughts, fears, and emotions as he prepares for the biggest fight of his life.
"Rocky" includes some of the most famous scenes in film history. The lines “Cut me, Mick” and “Yo, Adrian” are well known even to those who haven’t seen the film, and the theme song that plays while Rocky trains and famously climbs the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art is recognizable to everyone as well. "Rocky" is the ultimate feel-good story. The entire series is classic, but the first film is the best.
