Girls Next Door: Season Two

The girls are back and better than ever!

After the success of the first season, and the girls’ Playboy pictorial, Hef’s three girlfriends return in another look at the charmed lives of the "Girls Next Door:" Holly, Bridget and Kendra. The season begins with Hef’s 80th birthday weekend.

Hef being the man that he is, he doesn’t just have one day of festivities, he has an entire weekend. Things start off with Casablanca night in Hef’s private theater. Everyone dresses for the era, enjoys a buffet, then sits down to take in the film. After the film ends, the dining room transforms into Rick’s Cafe, and everyone gets caviar and champagne. That’s just day one. The second day of festivities take place in a tent outside, and for the big 8-0, Hef has brought in Three 6 Mafia.

After a couple of Hef-themed episodes, the season turns to focus on the girls’ perks and career opportunities offered because of their successful show and pictorial. They had a cameo in "Scary Movie 4," Kendra was given the cover of Muscle Magazine, and Bridget and Holly were in a Captain Morgan ad. They also got to travel (in season one) to promote their cover, had an overwhelming amount of people show up for signatures, and appeared on "The View." Their popularity prompted Hef to offer them a second pictorial...on the famous round bed from the Chicago mansion. They’d already shot on said bed, so Holly went to Hef and explained that they wanted to direct their own pictorials. Holly shot a glamorous "gentlemen prefer blonds" set up, Bridget chose King Kong (with herself starring as Fay Wray), and Kendra shot a sports theme.

Aside from the pictorials, the season covers Easter at the Mansion, the girls’ (and Hef’s) trip to Europe, Kendra’s 21st birthday, Holly and Hef’s five year anniversary, and the reopening of the famous Playboy Club. Season one is a good foundation for the rest of the series. Season two is a whirlwind, but is still enchanting and a lot of fun. The girls are truly fascinating, and their lives surely charmed.
