Dr. No
James Bond's first adventure.
The first movie in the James Bond series is still one of the finest.
Ian Fleming's 1958 novel, Dr. No, was adapted into a film of the same name in 1962. Sean Connery, a relatively unknown actor at the time, delivers an outstanding performance as Bond. The classic gun barrel sequence that Bond fans are accustomed to originated with this film, along with classic Bond traits like ordering a vodka martini shaken, not stirred. However, pre-title sequences didn't come around in Bond movies until after "Dr. No."
The plot of the film revolves around an island called Crab Key in which many people mysteriously disappear. Ursula Andress plays Honey Ryder, a woman who Bond comes across when investigating the island. Andress set the bar high for future Bond girls.
Any fan of the James Bond series should see "Dr. No." It's one of -- if not the best Bond movie ever.
