True Lies
Slam bang thrills all the way.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a spy. His wife thinks he's a boring computer salesman. Jamie Lee Curtis is a bored working woman, who is about to embark on the adventure of her lifetime. "True Lies" is a very funny and also exciting movie starring Schwarzenegger and Curtis, with great results. Both have excellent comedic timing and delivery, and both make the story somehow believable.
Schwarzenegger leads a double life, as he can tell no one else about his real job as a super-secret spy for the government. As he wrangles with international terrorists, Curtis's boredom overtakes her, and against her better judgment, she falls prey to a scummy car salesman. Schwarzenegger learns of this, and as he stops her in the nick of time, learns of her own boredom, while ironically he is leading a very exciting life which he cannot even share with her. Trying to add a little excitement to her life as well, a mock mission turns into a high-octane adventure when husband and wife must team up to trust one another once again, while taking down the bad guys. One of the best moments is after Curtis learns that Harry (Schwarzenegger) is a spy, and asks whether he has ever killed anyone. "Yeah, but they were all bad." Enjoy the great one-liners and jokes throughout the movie, in addition to the plentiful and fun tongue-in-cheek humor.
