Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Everyone’s favorite Christmas story is brought to life!

Meet the people of Whoville! They love snowflakes and songs, lights and rhymes, but most of all they love Christmastime. Christmas is the time of the year where they gather together in celebration and music, and feast in joy, happiness and roast beast. However, there is one who that lives just north of Whoville who does not like Christmas. The Grinch (Jim Carrey) is a selfish and rotten Who that does not want anything to do with the Whos or with Christmas. At first, the Grinch is presented to the audience as this mean, unchangeable grouch. But through gathering his memories and experiences, we start to understand why Christmas has become such an awful holiday to him. Unfortunately the Whos, who are too worried with decorations and presents, do not have time to worry about the problems of the Grinch. The only person who is able to help him is little Cindy Loo Who, a young child who is herself puzzled by the true meaning of the holiday. Together, they form an unlikely pair that in the end must help each other understand the reason for Christmas and the true magic that lies behind it.

For years the cartoon version of this masterpiece has presented us with laughs and tears, as well as lessons that we will carry throughout life. This new full length feature, directed by Ron Howard, while following the inspirational story by legendary author Dr. Suess, also presents new characters and themes that portray the magic of the holiday season. This film is sure to warm your hearts while awakening the child within you. You will be able to share with your children the same story that you grew up with as a child, while learning something new about the wonderful, misunderstood creature known as the Grinch and the true meaning behind his madness.
