40 Year Old Virgin

A Comedy about the moments that touch us in ways we've never been touched before.

“The 40 Year Old Virgin,” released in 2005, stars Steve Carell as Andy Stitzer and Catherine Keener as Trish. Written by Steve Carell and Judd Apatow and directed by Apatow, the film centers around Andy, a 40-year old electronics store employee who has never had sex.

Andy’s life is filled with comic books, action figures and some friends. One night at a poker game with his buddies, it comes to their attention that their friend Andy has never been with a woman. They make it their mission to help their friend get laid.

The audience can expect many laughs at the attemps, and subsequent failures, of getting Andy some action. Then Andy meets a 40-year old mother of three and they begin to date with one exception to the rules; no sex for at least 20 dates. The two fall for each other as Andy embarrassingly learns about the world of sex and love.
