Jack the Ripper Goes West
A serial killer attacks prostitutes in an Old West town.
When a serial killer targeting prostitutes proves to be too much for the local sheriff (Jack Elam), the town leaders invite an investigator to help find the killer, much to the sheriff's chagrin.
It's essentially the same plot as we've seen in most movies featuring Jack the Ripper type killings, but this time it is set in the Old West. While this turn on an old plot doesn't make the movie any more interesting, it doesn't mean the film is unwatchable.
The pace of the movie is quick, but sometimes choppy, not leaving any time for any suspense to build up. In fact, the film clocks in at under an hour.
The blood is almost non-existent for a film about a serial killer. And while the acting is good, this movie looks more like it was "made for tv" than made for the big screen. The big reveal of the killer also does nothing to help this film.
