Drag Me To Hell
Director Sam Raimi does an amazing job with his new horror film, "Drag Me to Hell." Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is a loan officer at a Los Angeles bank when unfortunate events occur when an old gypsy woman, Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver), asks Christine for an extension on her home loan. Mrs. Ganush puts a curse on Christine after refusing to extend the loan on the house. Clay Dalton (Justin Long) is a professor who is constantly concerned about the well being of his girlfriend, Christine, and adds a little romance to the film.
Sam Raimi incorporates a touch of everything in the film. He leaves his audience's hearts beating with fear and jumping every few minutes, anticipating the next scary thing to pop out from somewhere. Then there's the romantic and touching scene between Christine and Clay that leaves girls thinking, "Why can't we all have a little Clay in our lives?" Not to mention some of the most unexpected, hilariously funny scenes that occur throughout the film. Raimi even adds some gore to satisfy those Rob Zombie fans.
Not only does the film leave the audience wanting more every minute that goes by but it also ends with an unexpected twist. The film is created with every viewer in mind and Raimi does a fantastic job combining all these elements together. Viewers who tend to enjoy the usual happy endings might find the movie slightly disappointing. However, that may be the only disappointment they find. Although the movie is not rated one of the top ten in the box office it is a great movie to watch if you want to jump out of your seat.
