Thank You For Smoking

Aaron Eckhart charms audiences as Nick Naylor in a controversial comedy that's sure to be as addicting as nicotine.

In the wake of hate campaigns and propaganda intending to slowly bite away at the tobacco manufacturers comes a film that fictionally exposes the underbelly of cigarette companies, while lobbying for their cause. David Sacks' “Thank You For Smoking,” is a hilarious and intelligent comedy with one of the most witty characters in film. Aaron Eckhart plays Nick Naylor, a fast talking spin doctor for Big Tobacco, who’s caught between being a good role model for his 12-year-old son and speaking up for a company that most of the world loves to hate.

When a senator from Vermont begins a campaign bent on destroying cigarette companies, Naylor’s skills as a smooth talker are put to the test. Taking his son along for the ride, Naylor travels from place to place, exposing his son to what the typical day is like for a Tobacco lobbyist, and teaching him that if you argue correctly, you never lose.

However, after an anti-tobacco terrorist group and a seductive reporter threaten to bring him down, Naylor finds that lobbying isn’t always as easy as bribing dying Marlboro ad models. With his testimony in court standing as the balance between whether cigarette sales continue or come to a crashing halt, even the most anti-cigarette viewers will find their ideas challenged.
