100 Girls
“100 Girls” is absolutely hilarious, absolutely witty, and absolutely a must-see. If you’re someone who enjoys sexy romantic comedies, this film is perfect for you. This comedy is filled with brilliant humor and ingenious lines that are cleverly delivered.
Directed by Michael Davis, “100 Girls” tells the story of a college student named Matthew who stumbles out of a dorm room party one night into an elevator. When the power goes off, he gets trapped in the elevator with an unknown girl. Without exchanging words, the two make love during the blackout. He instantly falls in love. The next morning, the woman is gone, and Matthew is left without a name. The rest of the film revolves around Matthew finding his dream girl between a hundred suspects throughout a semester.
The film stars Jonathan Tucker, who plays the role of Matthew, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Patty, James DeBello as Matthew’s roommate, Rod, Katherine Heigl as Arlene, Larissa Oleynik as Wendy, Jaime Pressly as Cynthia, Marissa Ribisi as Dora, Johnny Green as Crick, Aimee Graham as Ms. Stern, Ange Billman as Dana, and Kristina Anapau as Sasha.
Written by Michael Davis, the script is truly inventive. It will make you laugh non-stop. While this would not be a teen dramedy were it not for the crude humor and stereotypes, it will also touch you. By the end of the film, not only will you will feel for Matthew, but you will want him to find his dream girl.
Jonathan Tucker looks like a 15-year-old, not a college freshman. However, for some reason, that didn’t ruin the movie. It played along well with his inexperience and innocence.
