Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Michael Bay transforms “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” into a hit sensation and just as successfully as he did the first film in 2007. Written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, this sequel has truly earned the title as No. 1 in the box office. DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures have teamed up to create another action packed adventure that meets fan expectations. The movie casts much of the same crew including Shia LaBeouf (Sam Witwicky), Megan Fox, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel and John Turturro, with a new member, Rainn Wilson.

This second installment starts off with Sam heading off to college to start a normal life, leaving the problems of Earth destroying Decepticons to the heroic Autobots. However, he is once again caught in between the war against Autobots and Decepticons. Later in the film, it is revealed that Transformers had come to Earth thousands of years before, searching for a source of energy, before Optimus Prime and the other Transformers arrived. There was an ancient race of Transformers called the Dynasty of Primes that searched the universe for Energon sources that could be harvested and used to power the Cybertron's AllSpark.

The ancient Primes agreed that worlds with life could not be used as a source because the weapon they used, called the Sun Harvester, drained stars of their energy and converted it into Energon which would end up killing all life sources. But one of the brothers, known as “The Fallen,” created a Sun Harvester on Earth and so the remaining brothers sacrificed themselves to hide the Matric Leadership, which is the key to starting the Sun Harvester. From then on, The Fallen has decided to seek revenge on Earth once the key was found. Now it is up to Sam to once again unite with the Autobots to save the world.
