Finding Nemo

An over-protective father clownfish goes on an adventure to find his son, Nemo, who was captured by a diver.

The 2003 CGI animated film, “Finding Nemo,” is a movie everyone can enjoy. Written by Andrew Stanton and directed by Stanton and Lee Unkrich, the movie was a Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios hit. The film is a story about a very protective father clownfish called Marlin (Albert Brooks), who only has one young son, Nemo (Alexander Gould), to care for when his wife and other children are killed by larger carnivorous fish.

Nemo is starting school and Marlin is being yet again the overbearing father who is constantly worrying about Nemo's safety. Until one day, Nemo can no longer stand it and decides to leave the safety of his reef by swimming out to where a boat is. His father yells at him and orders him to swim back to the reef. After deliberately touching the boat his father told him not to touch, he starts his way back to the reef when he's suddenly captured by a diver and brought back to the diver's home in Sydney.

In Sydney, Nemo is put into a tank and learns how the other fish in the tank live in captivity. Nemo tells the other fish about how he was captured and they plan a way to escape from the tank. Back at the reef, Marlin heads out on an adventure to find Nemo and bring him back home. While on his mission to find his son, he encounters a regal tang, named Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), who has short term memory but follows Marlin on his quest to find his son. The film is a hilarious family movie that you will end up watching more than once.
