Arlington Road
The best way to describe "Arlington Road" is well-rounded. It has the perfect blend of a wonderful cast who delivers outstanding performances, brilliant direction that creates a mysterious and dark tone, and a suspenseful, surprising story. This film will surprise you from the beginning. Its unpredictable sequences come out of nowhere and will not fail to entertain you.
Directed by Mark Pellington, "Arlington Road" revolves around a story about strange neighbors. But, this is unlike any other bad neighbor story you've ever heard. This film tells the tale of a college professor who begins to have strong beliefs that his neighbor is a terrorist. He begins to find as many clues and answers to discover the truth about his next-door neighbors. What he finds, however, is something unpredictably shocking.
This film has an all-star cast, including actors such as Jeff Bridges, who plays the role of Michael Faraday, Tim Robbins as Oliver Lang, Joan Cusack as Cheryl Lang, Hope Davis as Brooke Wolfe, Robert Gossett as the FBI agent named Whit Carver, and Mason Gamble as Brady Lang. Also featured throughout the film are Spencer Treat Clark, Stanley Anderson, Viviane Vives, and Lee Stringer.
Writer Ehren Kruger has created an intelligent thriller that will make you think from start to finish. Pellington doesn't simply hand anything to his audience. He forces you to use your own ideas to come to your own conclusions before providing you with his own ending. He does an excellent job of keeping you in suspense from the opening scene.
This drama will instill fear in you, surprise you, and most importantly, thoroughly entertain you.
