Life is Beautiful

Life is Beautiful will be, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful films you have ever seen. It will also be one of the saddest and most intense films you will ever see. The tears that you cry and the laughs that you have during this film will be genuine. This is a story about what it takes to protect a child, to be a hero, and to be a father. With brilliant acting and direction, this film will take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

Directed by Roberto Benigni, "Life is Beautiful" tells the story of a Jewish man named Guido, his wife Dora, and their son, Giosue. After courting Dora with his wit and charm, everything seems to be going perfectly until the Nazi German forces come to take Guido away to a concentration camp. Although Dora and their son are not Jewish, the two decide to go with Guido in an effort to keep the family together. After Dora gets separated from her husband and son at the concentration camp, it is Guido's job to help his son stay calm at the camp. He pretends to make the Holocaust a game for his son with a prize at the end of winning a tank.

This wonderful film stars Roberto Benigni as Guido Orefice, Nicoletta Braschi as Dora, Giorgio Cantarini as Giosue Orefice, Giustino Durano as Eliseo Orefice, Sergio Bini Bustric as Ferruccio Papini and Marisa Paredes as Dora's mother. Also featured throughout the film are Horst Buchholz, Lidia Alfonsi and Giuliana Lojodice.

The acting in this film is absolutely superb. You feel truly connected to Guido, Dora and their son. Through outstanding performances, the actors will make you feel like you are there with them in the concentration camp.

In addition, the script is fantastic. The story is heartwarming and will tug at your heartstrings from start to finish. It is such a creative and different approach than other Holocaust movies that have found their way to the silver screen. Without a doubt, this is an unforgettable, must-see film.
