Desperate Housewives - Season One
In this case, first is not worst.
The first season of the television comedy-drama series, “Desperate Housewives,” will exceed your expectations. Centered around four housewives who are desperate to fit in with the upper-middle-class on Wisteria Lane, the season depicts falling in love, raising children, marital problems, and affairs to the fullest extent.
Marie Alice Young, a housewife who committed suicide for an unknown reason, narrates the season while holding back what truly caused her to take her own life. She introduces her four friends on Wisteria Lane. Bree Van de Kamp is a wife with flashy red hair and strict parenting skills that cause her children to despise her. Blonde haired Lynette Scavo is stuck at home with four children while her husband is constantly on business trips. Gabrielle Solis, a Mexican bombshell that wears a size double zero, dangerously hides an affair with her jailbait gardener from her husband, Carlos. Recently divorced Susan Mayer raises her teenage daughter and fights for the attention from the new neighbor, Mike Delfino, with the husband-stealer Edie Britt. Although the women have their own fragile lives to take care of, they are four friends that take care of each other while desperately finding out what caused Mrs. Young to commit suicide.
A show that is able to connect personally with their audience is worthy of honor. The season will have some viewers mirror imaging themselves with the characters, and some viewers will wish that their lives turn out as so. This memorable season will have you rushing to Blockbuster in a hurry for the second season.
