Charolette's Web 2 - Wilbur's Great Adventure

A pig, a spider and a lamb named Cardigan.

Charlotte's Web has been a favorite of children for years. This is a continuation of life on the farm, without the noble Charlotte. Instead, we are introduced to three of Charlotte's daughters. They're not Charlotte, but they prove to be loyal friends.

The familiar characters from the original story are reintroduced, with a new generation joining the fun. We get to meet a brand new character, Cardigan the lamb. There is a new adventure for Wilbur the pig, when his friend Cardigan is sold to a neighboring farmer for his wool. At the same time, a fox is loose in the barnyard. That's when Charlotte's offspring test their abilities to duplicate their mother's spelling and spinning talent.

Wilbur makes many references to Charlotte and how much he misses her. For this reason, those children not familiar with the original story, may be confused. This new story is very enjoyable. Although the original story had more suspense, the children are not subjected to the death of a beloved character in this one.

The film is rated G and is enjoyable family viewing.
