I'll be the first to say I watched (still do, when there are reruns) thisprivate investigation caper, where those Angels certainly know how to get thebad guys and look so fabulous doing so!
Today's Angels, Natalie (Cameron Diaz) Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (LucyLiu) are still beautiful, fashionable, intelligent, and able to smooth talktheir sweet words into the eyes of hungry men, as they handle difficult anddangerous situations. Those angels in the past never had to do what thesewinged doll-faced sweeties have to do!
The Angel's have been hired by Vivian Wood (Kelly Lynch) president of ErikKnox's (Sam Rockwell) company. Their assignment is to find out who kidnapped EricKnox, the founder and engineer who developed a voice activated software program.
There are a couple of suspects the Angels needs to consider in this hi-techcrime dilemma, including Roger Corwin (Tim Curry) who owns the largestcommunications satellite company called Red Star Systems, andwanted to buyKnox's company, and the creepy thin man (Crispin Glover), the sleaze bag whosepicture was on the surveillance camera as one of the kidnappers.
Of course the Angels have Bosley (Bill Murray) their right hand man to help assist in any and all ways possible. Don't fret over the long hours andstress that the Angels have to put themselves in, for there is always room tosqueeze in a romance from time to time. When Dylan needs some romance she looksto Chad (Tom Green) who is the anchor of her affections from time to time. Thenthere's Alex who seems to have a pretty good relationship with Jason (MattLeBlanc) although he does think she's a bikini waxer. Then there's Natalie, whohas found a perfect match in Pete the bartender (Luke Wilson), who she met whileundercover. Both are multi talented in speaking and understanding each otherslingo quite well, so well, it's scary but in a good way.
Now the Angels must work fast and cleverly in order to solve this crime. Theythink they have it figured out, but somebody has set a trap for them and islooking to rid the Angels of their halos and their boss... Charlie!
The cast was great! I'm a big fan of Drew Barrymore, and think Cameron Diazis so together and shows a tremendous amount of talent and personality. BillMurray is a genius, and so wonderful to watch, and then there is Luke Wilsonwho makes me weak in the knees and whose charm and talent is becoming clearerand more desired. Crispin Glover is a monster of freakish talent and he's socool, I think he's astonishing and brilliant!
From Aerosmith to Heart, and so much in between. It's an explosive amount ofawesome music that shouts excitement! Just wait until you catch the scene whenNatalie and Pete have tickets to get into the one and only "Soul Train"
Charlie's Angels is a fun, fresh, and humorous movie. It's colorful, fast, hip, and rocks with energy. It's also silly and that is what makes it work. Notto be taken too seriously, just kick back and enjoy it!
