Living and Dying on Everest

Mount Everest is not only the highest mountain in the world but one of the most sought after adventures to experience, and ultimately say you have achieved. If indeed, you are lucky enough to actually climb, reach the top, and return back to solid ground.

Director David Bolling's spectacular journey captures the stories of a group of climbers that are reaching for this brass ring. This is not only a story about reaching for the top, but a mission to help clean up what has become a massive dumping ground of trash and empty oxygen containers, left on the mountain from previous climbers.

With so many potentially harmful, if not deadly obstacles standing boldly in front of each climber, such as altitude sickness, lack of oxygen, and intestinal illness, one must be ready physically and mentally, and even then there is no guarantee of your survival.

Living And Dying On Everest is a brutally honest and in-depth look at what it takes to be one of the many who try and conquer the mountain, and are able to rejoice in the spiritual energy of it, in its completion.

The documentary touches on the religious and spiritual connection to the mountain, the friendships formed, basic hygiene, the commitment to working as a team, and the respect towards the mountain.

As beautiful and amazing as Mount Everest is, it is also very deadly and one must truly know the odds against achieving the honor of climbing it, or when to know one should turn back.

A stunning, real life look into the amazing people who seek out the beauty, magic, and the allure of this highly respected mountain.

Living And Dying On Everest is a serious film. This is not about actors portraying people, the people are real and so are the dangers.

Captured on film are some extraordinary formations of ice, rock, and streams. It is beguiling, and it will have you thinking how is that possible? How can something be that spectacular and beautiful?

This film is only fifty minutes long, but it leaves you with a greater understanding of how incredibly difficult, dangerous, and awesome it is, to come face to face with such power as in Mount Everest. It provides great insight into the people who long to challenge themselves to climb it, keep it clean, and celebrate the joy it brings to them spiritually.

For any who appreciates nature, is into outdoor sports or has been genuinely curious to what it takes to climb a mountain like Everest, then this documentary is one to watch.
