Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band Live in Barcelona

The entrances may not have been grand, but the music definitely was.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band played for almost three hours straight. There were only several pauses to say hello and have a little chit chat, but that was few and far between. Springsteen and The E Street Band never looked better.

The first song was "The Rising." The crowd sung every single word with Springsteen. They were completely captivated by his mere presence on stage. Just about every person had at least one hand in the air throughout the whole song and almost every song there after.

After several straight songs, Springsteen spoke to the crowd in their native tongue. He said some kind words in Spanish, which made the crowd go crazy.

During some slower songs, such as "Empty Sky," the crowd was so quiet. They just wanted to hear Springsteen’s words, his guitar, and his harmonica. Lighters were being held in the air and the crowd swayed together mouthing every word.

"Are you ready to sing one?" was all Springsteen had to say to get the crowd back into it, after a few quiet and slow songs.

This concert was in no way quiet or slow, except for an occasional song or two. The crowd never stopped moving. The Band never stopped playing. Springsteen hardly stopped singing.

The camera would swing past the whole band and then focus on Springsteen, Clarence Clemons on saxophone and percussion, Stevie Van Zandt on guitar and vocals, and Patti Scialfa on guitar and vocals, along with the rest of the Band.

On bigger, louder hits such as "Mary’s Place" the crowd just couldn’t be any louder. They cheered, they sang, they threw fists in the air, and they danced. They also started chanting when Springsteen would take a break. He let them chant for a little bit and then silenced them with "Countin’ on a Miracle."

Bruce could do no wrong throughout the entire concert. He ran back and forth on the stage, got the audience to sing almost every word with him, and just looked good doing it.

Watching the concert was almost as like being there, but with a comfortable seat.
