Best Sleepover Ever

What do you do for a jaded, but not really jaded, six-year-old girl? With so many shows, movies and games geared toward older children, your choices can be limited. I do, however, have an answer. Watch the ‘Best Sleepover Ever’ with your child.

This movie is good clean play for young girls. We begin with the typical disclaimer of not trying any of the activities without adult supervision, but in this video, the adults are warned not to try anything without kid supervision. Next, we get to read the instant messaging going on between the sleepover participants. "Are you coming?" "What time is it at?" "Are you bringing the fabric?" more on the fabric later. These messages begin the show.

As the girls arrive, we find a group of close friends who truly enjoy each other’s company and treat each other with respect and understanding. This video shows how you can have fun and not be destructive or hurtful. We begin the games by popping balloons filled with questions or a dare. Of course, these are all mellow things from "What is your most embarrassing moment," to "Do not say a certain word for the entire night." Just about each one leads to discussions between the girls, which are revealing and helpful.

But, what would a sleepover be without a bratty little brother. Well, he makes an appearance at this one. Nothing terrible, but the girls do get back at him. Again, good clean fun, well maybe a little messy. Watch the show, you’ll see what I mean.

By now you are wondering, what about that fabric you told us about. With old fabric, you can make headbands and the newly popular chokers. With jewels, and beads, these girls make fabulous creations.

Ok, so now what did the expert six-year-old think? Does the statement, "I loved it," answer your question? My daughter raved and went on to say that this is her new favorite video. She immediately went to the website and saw previews of the other BFF (Best Friends Forever) videos. We highly recommend this for all families. It’s about time for good clean family fun.
