Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, is a successful rapper, singer-songwriter and television personality. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago but moved to Queens, N.Y. when she was just 5 years old.

Minaj released her first album Pink Friday in 2010. The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Platinum just one month after its release. She also became the first female solo artist to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. Minaj released her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in 2012. The album sold one million copies worldwide and was one of the best-selling albums of the year.

Minaj is known for her eccentric personality and style, and is usually dressed in colorful wigs and costumes. She recently joined American Idol as a judge for the 12th season of the show.
