Sarah Michelle Gellar is 34 years old today
Happy Birthday to Sarah Michelle Prinze (a.k.a. Gellar) who turns 34 years old today. Sarah was born to a nursery school teacher and a garment worker in New York. She is an only child to her Jewish parents and got into show business when she was just four years old.
As the story goes, Sarah was discovered by an agent while dining with her family at a Manhattan restaurant. Sarah tried out for a role in the movie An Invasion of Privacy some two weeks after meeting the agent and she got the job because of how well she read her script. The movie got Sarah much attention and soon she was doing TV commercials and modeling in magazines.
As she grew up, Sarah has starred in many films including the TV series Spenser: For Hire, High Stakes and A Woman Named Jackie.
She also starred in the popular soap opera All My Children but is best known for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Sarah is married to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. who was her co-star in the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer.
