INTERNET ENTREPRENEUR
When Dominick Miserandino became an Eagle Scout, and when he was a student at Xaverian High School, little did he imagne that one day he would become an entrepreneur of the laptop! The Bay Ridge resident is the editor of The Celebrity Cafe.com on the internet, an entertainment magazine that features interviews with music artists, actors, athletes and show performers. His personal style is also to focus on up-and-coming artists who find it difficult to reap much-needed publicity.
Dominick sits at the screen of his laptop computer, accompanied by a cell phone and a palm pilot. his workplace is his own living room or local coffee shops.
At 27 years old, the self-made pioneer says he lives three lives. "There's Dominick the editor of TheCelebrityCafe.com, Dominick the computer consultant and Dominick the writer. I'm trying to balance all three lives," he said. "I have three full-time jobs but the balance is intereseting. I've done it all on my own."
And how's business? The you man said his web site has already earned more money in November 1999 then for the entire 1998 business year.
If you're curious about Dominick's self-styled site, he can be visited at www.TheCelebrityCafe.com. The students at Xaverian High might like to see what one of their graduates is doing on a worldwide basis these days!
